My garden is on the outskirts of the small market town of Morpeth in Northumberland. Although we've lived here for six years, it is very much a work in progress! I love unusual plants; ones which can be difficult to find because they're just not available in the UK, or because they're considered 'unfashionable', or are just darned rare. My particular passion is for unusual edible perennials, but I am also drawn to scented plants, wild native plants and very old cultivars of hardy perennials. I also love 'original species', the ones from which our modern varieties were first bred. I grow most of my more hard-to-find plants from seeds because, well, they're hard to find!
Unusual, preferably perennial, edibles. Rare UK wild flowers. Medicinal herbs.
