Historic garden in North London created by revered plantsman E A Bowles aka the ‘Crocus King’. Featuring a Victorian kitchen garden, glasshouses, rock garden and the famous ‘Lunatic Asylum’. Many of the rare and unusual plants Bowles raised here are still in situ.
Interested in the rare and the quirky. Bowles had a passion for all plants but particularly bulbs, succulents and variegated plants.
- Sports, mutations, fasciated plants
