We were pretty overrun by bamboo and an unkempt garden (to the tune of 30 years of neglect) so are just getting on top of things after living here a couple of years.
I'm currently most keen to produce a garden that is wildlife friendly , fun and safe for children and that has interest throughout the year. If I can grow plants that do this, are largely immune to slugs and don't constantly need watering I think we'll be doing well.
Currently interested in hardy perennials that flower well and don't attract slugs. Size isn't too important but obviously there's only a limited amount of space for large items.
Also happy to swap/buy vegetables and fruit as I have an allotment too.
