One of the photos show the dreadful garden when we moved in last year. We started in March 2015 and had great results by July/Aug 2015 as photos show. Mmm where do I start. I like so many plants, but some of my favourites are Australian plants such as Melaleuca, Cootamundra Wattle, Bottlebrush..I like particular Yellow and orange flowers, Sunflowers are so happy, Crocosmia especially the orange is another "keep you happy nearly all year." But you can't not love Honeysuckle and Jasmine. Now I am snugging my garden down for winter..covering the Aussie plants with frost covers in case of frost or snow.
I spent 47 years in Australia and gardened quite a bit there so if anyone wants any advice on growing Aussie plants I can probably help you. I remarried came back to UK three years ago.

I would love to get my hands on a genuine French Lavender Lavendula Dentata ( one with serrated leaves) I can swop it for another lavender, or another plant I might have. Or I can purchase it.
