I'm a Garden and Planting Designer currently in retirement as since becoming a grandmother I just don't have enough time to do both effectively. I garden in my private garden which I've created from scratch over the past six years. My garden was planted with low maintenance in mind. However I do love propagating plants from cuttings and that brings me to this page as I am overrun with plants now.
I love growing plants that have an architectural use in Planting Design ........... plants that I tended to use in outside jobs that sometimes were unavailable. I am passionate about using perennials and propagating from plants that are either in the ground or overgrown in pots. It has become an addiction but I love it.
My greenhouse sits in a gravelled area where Verbena bonariensis seedlings grown in abundance together with Alchemilla mollis. I also have Acanthus spinosus and Japanese Anemone that have rooted in the gravel that provide fantastic rootstock for more plants.
My garden would fairly be described as Mediterranean as that is a style I like but we have some cold winters where I am and so I have been careful to only use hardy warm loving plants carefully mixed with more basic varieties that blend and compliment the style.
My garden is my pride and joy and it gives me pleasure every single day.
