Our back garden features a south facing tall wall giving us a perfect micro climate for growing apricots and dahlias as well as having lunches on the terrace early on in the year. A lawn in the centre is surrounded by perrenials and a huge over a hundred year old conker tree provides shade in the afternoon summer sun. The front garden is a more structured affair with lots of box and yew hedging and mainly white flowers. Starting with daffs and tulips and cosmos later on.
I divide clumps of perennials regularly but have a bit of an aversion to growing things from seed. So swaps of perennial plants for freshly sown herb or flower annuals would be fantastic.
