We have quite a large sloping rear garden that faces south east, with several tiers and a paved terrace with rose arbor higher up. It's an interesting space which is not without challenges for gardening - not least of which is a large sloping bed facing the conservatory at the back of the house. We moved in in December 2013 at which point it was very overgrown with grass and weeds, so it's very much a work in progress, with lots of weeding and replanting still to do - some areas are still totally wild as you can see from the photos! Also I am a complete novice, we have never had a garden before this - I'm just learning about what plants suit which spaces as I go along (with advice from a few experienced old hands as support).

Swap interests

I'd be interested in swapping hardy perennials, shrubs, grasses and ground cover for some of our more awkward sloping spaces. Happy to come and dig-out larger donations if you have unwanted shrubs. At the moment we have many fairly young specimens and lots of empty space, so am mainly relying on donations and vigorous growth to fill the gaps...
