I have a small front garden, where I keep chickens so only 'chicken friendly' plants survive. My back garden is on a river side and is quite small but is packed with small shrubs, perennial plants, herbs and a raised bed, which becomes my 'salad bar' during the summer. I also have an allotment in Saul where I grow most of my larger vegetables and fruit. I also garden for other people locally and I always pot up any small unwanted trees I come across. As a result have a number of baby plum, walnut, holly, chestnut, and hazelnut saplings who would otherwise have ended up in the compost bin.
