Podophyllum peltatum (American mandrake). This is a deciduous forest trees, the leaves are deeply lobed and peltate about 30cm long. The blooms are creamy white and the fruits are yellow.


They will grow under deciduous trees, they prefer a moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil and dappled shade.

Large berries. Stems, seeds and roots are poisonous if eaten.
