Ophiopogon planiscapus ‘Nigrescens’

For sale by Rachel the Gardener

This grower is sure of this plant identification.

One of my all-time easy-care favourite plants for foliage: black, black leaves, superb in gravel, as they like it well-drained. One of the few that actually look better when it rains!! They spread slowly to make a low clump. Evergreen, Or should that be Everblack?

Grower Notes

Sun or part shade, any soil: prefer it quite well drained, will tolerate drought once they are established: perfect for gravel paths, wasted in a border unless you underplant with something bright like Lysimachia nummularia 'aurea'. Which, by coincidence, I am also offering for sale!
