Plant Finder: about Abelia engleriana

Abelia engleriana. This species of Abelia has delicate pale pink flowers with a darker pink flush around the stamens, as well as yellow markings towards the edge of the lower three petals.

Abelia shrubs are fully to half hardy, but in cold areas do best against a south or west facing wall. They require a sheltered, sunny position and fertile well drained soil. Remove dead wood in late spring and prune out older branches after flowering to restrict growth if required. Need staking.
