A new introduction to us, Acer davidii 'Cascade' is a lovely small tree with a distinctive white striped bark and elegant weeping habit. Leaves are dark green in spring and summer with orange or red tints before falling in autumn.

Acer davidii 'Cascade' is a very architectural weeping tree, ideal for gardens of nearly any size as the height is easily managed.

Position: Full sun or partial shade.
Soil: Any well drained, fertile soil.
Hardiness: Hardy. Acer davidii 'Cascade' requires shelter from cold winter winds.
Rate of Growth: Moderate.
Habit: Acer davidii 'Cascade' eventually grows to be a small, weeping tree. The height and spread can be adjusted by training the main leader upwards, tied to a supporting cane or stake or letting it weep from a low height.
