Gorgeous maple with superb autumn colour, called 'Maiku-jaku'('Dancing Peacock') in its native Japan. Has fern-like, very deep cut, bright green leaves which turn superb shades of orange and red in autumn. Clusters of small, coral-red flowers popular with insects can also be seen in spring on mature plants.
Lovely maple good in partial shade and ideal for vivid autumn colour in a garden border.

Fernleaf Fullmoon maple
Acer japonicum ‘Aconitifolium’ (Fernleaf Fullmoon maple). This cultivar has medium green deeply incised leaves, resembling the genus Aconitum that will turn shades of crimson, orange, yellow and dark purple in the autumn.
Acers are fully to frost hardy and will require sun or semi-shade in fertile, well-drained soil.
Grown for foliage interest.
