Plant Finder: about Acer rubrum ‘Brandywine’

Acer rubrum ‘Brandywine’. 'Brandywine' resulted from a 1982 cross of Acer rubrum 'October Glory' and A. rubrum 'Autumn Flame' by A.M. Townsend in the USA. This is a male tree, which means no fruit is produced, and therefore no seedlings, which makes it a great selection for lawns. The foliage turns bright crimson in the autumn.
