Common names

Lace aloe, Torch plant


Aloe aristata (Lace aloe). This is a dwarf Aloe; it forms clumps of rosettes about 10cm high and 30cm wide. The leaves are deep green and tapered and they have white spots on the surface. The flowering panicles grow to about 60cm high and they hold orange-red blooms which open in autumn.


Grow in a loam-based potting mixture with added grit.
