Corylus avellana ‘Pendula’

For sale by Bluebell Nursery

This grower is sure of this plant identification.

A rare hazel, Corylus avellana 'Pendula' has a stiffly pendulous habit and the main leader can be trained up a tall cane to grow into an elegant, slender weeping tree.

Once the support is removed, the branches will cascade down and the tree will not really grow any taller. In spring 'Pendula' is covered with long, ornamental catkins. The leaves that then emerge are a deep, lush green.

Supplied Size: 3L containers (40 - 60 cm tall)
