This grower is sure of this plant identification.

Cotoneaster frigidus 'Cornubia' was raised at the Rothschild Exbury estate before 1933 and remains one of the finest small, semi-evergreen trees. It has pretty white flowers in early to mid summer followed by enormous crops of bright red berries later in the year, even on young plants.

A splendid small tree.

Description

Cotoneaster frigidus ‘Cornubia’ (Cotoneaster). White flowers are carried in clusters in early summer with dark green foliage, then followed by large, pendent clusters of decorative, bright red-orange fruits.

Cultivation

They are fully to frost hardy and will prefer full sun, but the evergreens will do well in either sun or semi-shade.
