This grower is fairly sure of this plant identification.
I think I have green alkanet , but I 'm not sure. If anyone can correct me on this when I upload my own photos in March/May. I have n't used it to dye anything,but the bees love it, and the flowers are a pretty shade of blue. May be benefical near a hive.
Pentaglottis sempervirens (Green alkanet). This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe.
