Euonymus phellomanus

For sale by Bluebell Nursery

This grower is sure of this plant identification.

Collected as seed from China in 1894, Euonymus phellomanus has inconspicuous flowers in spring, followed by vivid lipstick-pink fruit in autumn, which split to reveal bright orange seeds.

Another notable feature is the corky, winged stems which catch the eye once the leaves fall in in winter. This species will fruit reliably as a single, specimen plant even when quite young. A superb plant!

Supplied Size: 3L containers (30 - 50 cm tall)
