Nyssa sylvatica ‘Tupelo’ (Black gum). The foliage is produced in ranges from deep scarlet to luminous orange and yellow. The leaves are glossy green and between 2-5 inches. The flowers are insignificant, but the fruit is small bluish black and olive-shaped.


It will tolerate wet soils, occasional drought and poor drainage.They will generally need fertile, moist but well-drained, neutral to acidic soil with sun or partial-shade and a cool climate.
