Description

Fuchsia genus (Lady's eardrops). This genus has about 100 species with many hybrids. They will come in a variety of forms and a wonderful range of colours in shades of red, white, pink and purple. They are deciduous or evergreen trees, shrubs or perennials.

Cultivation

They are frost hardy to frost tender, min 5C, Most of the species will need a sheltered partially shaded position, with fertile moist but well drained soil. When grown as pot plants in a green house, fuchsias also need high-nitrogen feeds.

Interest and use
