A colourful evergreen shrub, Griselinia littoralis 'Variegata' has apple-green leaves edged with a creamy-white, irregular, variegation. These variegated leaves can help brighten an otherwise dark area of a garden. An easy to grow shrub which makes an excellent screen once established.

Grower Notes

Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. Griselinia littoralis 'Variegata' requires protection from severe winter frost in cooler parts of the U.K.
Flowering Period: June - August.
Flower Colour: Pale yellow
Rate of Growth: Moderate to vigorous but a smaller plant than the classic Griselinia littoralis.
Habit: Medium or eventually large densely branching, rounded shrub.
Height: 3 m (10 ft).
Spread: 2.5 m (8 ft).

Notes: Griselinia littoralis 'Variegata' can be grown as a hedge if pruned regularly.
