This grower is sure of this plant identification.

Well-branched, nicely established (planted February 2015) in large terracotta pot, with primroses around base (colour like wild primrose, but very early and long-flowering, slightly larger flowers than wild species). Tip of leader taken out to encourage branching. Sorry no photos of tree in leaf or blossom!

Prunus avium ‘Morello eating cherry’ (Cherry eating). This is a cooking cherry with shiny dark red skin, very juicy. The dark red, acid cherry is excellent for preserves, tarts, etc. Regular, good crops; very attractive in blossom; self-fertile. Crops on north-facing site. Season: late July - early Aug

You should plant in moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Remember to protect from strong winds.
