A truly outstanding plant, Lonicera periclymenum 'Honeybush' is a ground cover form of our native woodbine with sprays of scented red and cream flowers in mid to late summer.

These flowers are scented and particularly fragrant in the evenings. The dark green leaves turn shades of plum purple and brown in autumn before falling. Splendid low flowering plant for a sunny border.

Description

Lonicera periclymenum ‘Honeybush’ (English wild honeysuckle). This is a deliciously scented climber. It is a vigorous, twining, deciduous climber. The flowers are small white and cream, and bloom in mid-summer. The leaves are oval to oblong and fragrant. This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe.

Cultivation

They are easily grown in sun or light shade. They will need regular pruning to keep them from becoming tangled.
