This grower is sure of this plant identification.
Currently both are flowering well. The original parent plant is well established in my garden- both for sale are layers from this plant. Original was obtained from a National Trust Gardens Advisor.
Staphylea genus (Bladdernut). There are about 11 species, which are tough deciduous shrubs or small trees and have 3-7 toothed leaflets and flowers are produced in terminal heads which are either white or tinted red.
They are fully hardy and will require sun or semi-shade with fertile, moist soil.
Grown for their flowers and bladder-like fruits.
