A rare tree with spectacular foliage, Morus alba 'Macrophylla' has huge, glossy, plane-like leaves up to 25 - 30 cm across when established. As a young plant the leaves are a little heart-shaped and lush, dark green.

The leaves, which are best sheltered from strong winds, last until late autumn, then fall quickly after a severe frost. The tree has no edible fruit to speak of.

Shelter from strong wind. Prune in late autumn and winter to avoid sap bleeding.
