A charming small garden shrub, Perovskia atriplicifolia 'Blue Spire' has silvery-blue, deeply cut leaves and eye-catching spires of soft-violet blue, tubular flowers in late summer. The leaves are pleasantly aromatic if rubbed.

This distinctive shrub grows well in groups, prefers a sunny, well drained position and is an excellent choice for late summer/autumn colour.

It is fully hardy and is a vigorous specimen which is drought tolerant, heat tolerant and pest resistant. Grow in full sun with well drained soil. Prune in spring.
