Phillyrea latifolia

For sale by Bluebell Nursery

This grower is sure of this plant identification.

Phillyrea latifolia is an elegant olive-like evergreen from the Mediterranean and W. Asia. Unusual in the UK, it has masses of small, glossy, dark green leaves.

It has clusters of small, white flowers in spring followed by tiny, back-blue fruit, although it only fruits in the UK after a very warm summer.

An interesting evergreen and a good option where evergreen Oaks would grow too large.

Supplied Size: 3L containers(30 - 40 cm tall)
