An unusual and desirable small tree, Prunus spinosa 'Plena' is very hardy and covered with masses of dainty, double white flowers in March or April. The flowers are followed by dark green leaves which last until autumn.

An attractive native blackthorn ideal for a natural woodland garden or as a specimen tree to give exceptional spring interest.

Supplied Size: 2L deep containers (30-50 cm tall, young plants only)

Description

Prunus spinosa ‘Plena’. This is a double-flowered blackthorn, with white blossom which arrives in March, before the dark green leaves appear. Black sloes (fruit) are produced in September and can be used to make syrups and liqueurs.
