This grower is sure of this plant identification.

Native to damp areas in the US and Canada, Quercus bicolor has flaking brownish-grey bark and shallow lobed, glossy green leaves with a white-felted underside. These leaves are very interesting and turn shades of orange and red before falling in a good, crisp autumn.

Unusual in the UK, it grows to be a small or medium-sized tree once established. Ideal for larger gardens, parks or woodlands.
