I offer a range of Heirloom and modern grandiflora sweet peas. These have smaller flowers than the more well know Spencer types but are much more fragrant.
Varieties include Matucana (pictured), Juliet (creamy white), Erewhon (lavender and pink reverse bi-colour), Almost Black (very dark maroon), Hi Scent (white with a blue edge), Flora Norton (pale blue), Memories (deep mauve) and Lord Nelson (Navy Blue)
Sweet pea
Lathyrus odoratus (Sweet pea). These are hardy annuals. They are grown for their large clusters of fragrant flowers that appear in early spring. The flowering clusters are followed by seed pods.
You can plant these frost-hardy plants in fertile, well-drained soil with full sun. They will need staking. Dead-heading will encourage more blooms.
