Mentha citrata (Mint). An aromatic rhizomatous perennial which can be found in shallow water or grown in moist soil. Produces whorls of white flowers in a cluster on a thin stem.

Cultivation

They are very frost hardy, and need sunshine and rich soil with lots of moisture. You can propagate from seed or by root division in spring or autumn.

Interest and use

Grown for their aromatic foliage, which is both decorative and used as a culinary herb.
