Salix candida

For sale by Bluebell Nursery

This grower is sure of this plant identification.

A handsome willow from N. America, Salix candida has large grey, felt-like, wooly leaves and large yellow catkins in late winter or early spring. If coppiced yearly, this male form makes a beautiful, vigorous but small, foliage plant. If left unpruned, it will become a taller shrub for larger gardens.

The soft leaves are very tactile, ideal for planting designed to stimulate the senses.

Supplied Size: 3L containers (30 - 50 cm tall)
