Chlorophytum capense (Spider plant). A low clumped perennial native to South Africa. Lance or strap-shaped leaves are bright green, the flowers are white and borne in racemes.


They are frost tender, min 5C. You should grow them in a light position away from the direct sun in a fertile well drained soil. You should water freely in the growing season but sparingly at other times if pot grown.
