Convallaria majalis (Lily-of-the-valley). This is a very popular, low-growing species , which is rich in fragrance. They will bear pendent delicate white, bell-shaped flowers amongst the large oval, dark green leaves in the mid spring. The small dark red berries will appear later.

Interest and use

Ground cover, fragrance, cutting bed. Orange red berries in autumn. Whole plant is poisonous if eaten.
