Philadelphus coronarius (Mock orange). This species produces fragrant, white flower in clusters they bloom from late spring and make a good show as a background for a perennial border. This species will tolerate dry conditions but prefers a rich, moist soil in sun or partial shade.


They are moderately to very frost hardy, they are easily grown in moist, well-drained soil and need a position in sun or light shade. You can propagate from seeds or from cuttings taken in summer.
