Ginkgo biloba 'Golden Dragon' has very handsome, mottled golden/cream variegation on the leaves. The new leaves can appear completely golden or cream in colour with the variegation gradually reduced to colourful stripes on the more mature leaves.

A lovely but very slow growing tree, ideal for experienced, patient gardeners only.

Grower Notes

Position: Light dappled or partial shade.
Soil: Any well drained, fertile soil.
Hardiness: Hardy.
Rate of Growth: Very slow.
Habit: Ginkgo biloba 'Golden Dragon' eventually grows to be a small or eventually medium sized, rounded shrub.
Height: estimated up to 2.5 m (8 ft) in may years.
Spread: 2.5 m (8 ft)

Notes: Like all variegated Ginkgos, the leaf colour of this plant can be highly variable. Some years the variegation can be excellent and other years only present on a small number of leaves. Do not prune out green branches or leaves as these can become variegated again even several years down the line!
