A slow growing, dwarf larch with lush green summer foliage, bright golden-bronze autumn colour and interesting and slightly contorted shoots. The irregular stems give some winter interest.

The compact habit makes Larix decidua 'Little Bogle' a fascinating plant for growing in rock gardens,large containers and it is ideal for even the smallest of gardens. Also suitable for bonsai.

Description

Larix decidua ‘Little Bogle’. Larix decidua 'Little Bogle' is a a dwarf, conifer with needles which are green in spring and turn blue-green in summer. In autumn they turn golden-bronze in fall. The plant has an interesting irregular habit, being upright, with horizontal branches.

Cultivation

This larch prefers moist, sandy soil and acidic soil if possible.

Interest and use

Grown for its harbit and foliage interest. This plant is used in rockeries, Japanese-style gardens, containers and accent plants in borders, as well as for bonsai.
