This grower is sure of this plant identification.

Native to the US west coast, Sequoia sempervirens is a very tall, fast growing, evergreen tree with a distinctive narrow, conical shape. It has a thick, soft, spongy, reddish bark that helps insulate the tree from wildfires in its natural habitat. Mature trees can reach 90m+ high and live over 2000 years.

A truly majestic tree. Walking in a grove of them is like walking in a cathedral.
