A reasonably vigorous and unusual Ivy, Hedera nepalensis has eye-catching grey-green leaves. Established plants my have colourful yellow berries.

Hedera nepalensis can be grown as a climber but can also be grown as a woody ground cover plant, forming a dense mat of stems over time.

Supplied Size: 3L deep containers (young plants, 30 - 40 cm tall)

Description

Hedera nepalensis (Himalayan ivy). This species is an evergreen climber with elliptical olive green leaves.

Cultivation

When grown under glass use a loam-based compost with full light. When grown outdoors you will need to grow in fertile moist humus-rich well-drained soil.

Interest and use

Covering walls and fences, and as ground cover. Suitable for coastal conditions.
