Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. In very mild winters Jasminum x stephanense can retain some of its leaves.

Habit: Jasminum x stephanense grows to be a medium sized twining, climbing plant which requires support as it will not self-cling.

Notes: Originally found growing wild in western China, this plant is a cross between Jasminum beesianum (Red Jasmine) and officinale (White Jasmine). To encourage flowering prune out thin, old shoots after the flowers have fallen in September each year.
