A striking architectural plant, Echinops bannaticus 'Blue Globe' has elegant, deeply divided, prickly grey-green leaves and round heads of grey-blue thistle flowers. These flowers appear in late Summer and are popular with insects.

Echinops bannaticus 'Blue Globe' is generally at its best when planted in poor, well drained soil in a position with plenty of sunlight.

Soil: Poor, well drained soil.
Hardiness: Hardy.
