Eulalia 'Malepartus', Chinese Silver Grass
Miscanthus sinensis ‘Malepartus’ (Eulalia 'Malepartus'). This is a grass with grey-green arching leaves with white midribs, and prolific, pink-tinged feathery flower heads opening in late summer, which age to silver. Foliage turns orange to yellow in the autumn.
Cut down to the ground in late winter before the new foliage appears. Protect from very wet conditions in winter. Can tolerate coastal conditions.
Use as an architectural plant in borders, containers and in coastal plantings.
