Plant Finder: about Achillea filipendulina

Common names

Fern-leaf yarrow, Yellow yarrow, Yarrow

Achillea filipendulina (Fern-leaf yarrow). This perennial is grown for the fern-like foliage it will produce, and also for the large yellow flower heads.

It will tolerate growing in average to poor soil, which makes it a good choice for problem areas in the garden. You should dead-head to promote repeat flowering. The flowers are very popular in dried floral arrangements. For best results you should divide every 3 to 5 years in early spring or the autumn.

Interest and use

Culinary, cutting bed, fragrance, dried arrangements or borders.

Unusual varieties of hostas. I have about 500 different varieties and am looking for more. Can offer about 1/3rd of these to swap (hosta for hosta), most of which are listed.
Also named varieties of Agapanthus (I have 4 varieties to swap)
Will sell plants as well if requested although not set up to post (other than for hostas sent bare-rooted) so buyer will need to collect.
