Phaseolus vulgaris (French bean). French beans are easy to grow. Make sure the soil is warm and well drained, sow the seeds 2in deep in fertile soil and keep your soil evenly moist. You should harvest the beans when the pods are 4in long.
They will need plenty of sunlight and ample moisture. They prefer a humus-rich well-drained soil. Harvesting may start in mid summer and may end in early autumn.
