Darlingtonia californica (Californian pitcher plant). The flowers are trumpet to pitcher-shaped they are green to reddish brown. They range from 10cm to nearly 1m tall, depending on soil richness and probably on how many insects the plant catches. The 8cm flowers are a carried above the leaves, and they have an umbrella-shaped stigma.
