This grower is sure of this plant identification.
Unique, bold, architectural variety. Very unusual upright form. Dark green leaves with deep ribbing and a cream pencil line edge. At first I thought it was too weird to be a good grower, but after trialling it for a few years I found myself corrected. It is slow, and needs potting on gradually at first, but it has proved very robust. Looks amazing in either a vintage or modern style pot. We offer tissue culture plants, produced from the original strong and healthy example in my own collection.
Hosta ‘Praying Hands’. A distinctive, architectural Hosta. 'Praying Hands' has narrow upright folded dark green leaves with narrow cream margins. Lavender flowers are produced in July.
These plants prefer cool, moist conditions in the shade. All hostas need protection from slugs and snails.
Grown for its habit and foliage. Contrasts well with other hostas and is a good container plant.
