Buxus sempervirens

This grower is sure of this plant identification.

I have about 40 well grown bare root box plants. These have been pruned back a few times so are nice and bushy and about 4 years old. I will dig quantity required.
Recommended spacing for a low box hedge is 5 plants per metre run so there is sufficient quantity here for a hedge up to 80M long.
Real bargain 80pence each. Collect from central Weston super Mare (M5 junction 21) (sizes are approximate)

Plant Finder: about Buxus sempervirens

Common names

Box, Common box, Dudeon

Buxus sempervirens (Box). This species is grown for its dark green dense foliage. It is a good species for a formal garden but it is a slow-growing shrub; it can eventually reach a height of 5m.

It will prefer a warm climate though the roots like to be kept cool with a generous mulching. You might need to protect in the winter to keep the leaves from browning due to the cold. Should prune back hard in winter or early spring.
