Description

Sedum palmeri (Stonecrop). This species is a sprawling evergreen perennial with arching branching stems. The glaucous leaves are spoon-shaped and borne in loose rosettes. The flowers are deep orange and are borne in compact panicles in early spring to late spring.

Cultivation

They will range from frost tender to fully frost hardy. They prefer to grow in fertile, porous soil, but can grow in most soil types.

Interest and use

Suitable for rock gardens and borders. Foliage attracts bees and butterflies. Suitable for coastal conditions.
