Weigela middendorffiana is a compact, rounded shrub native to parts of Japan and Northern China. It produces funnel-shaped, pale yellow flowers with honey coloured markings, which look as though they are almost dripping from the throats of each flower. Flowering May-July. Height and spread 1.5-3m.

Weigela middendorffiana. This species will grow to a height and width of 1.8m, and produces bell-shaped, springtime flowers that will range in colour from pale creamy yellow to deep amber, with reddish markings in the throat.
